Description of Jumbo backgammon boards by Svilo
Jumbo backgammon sets are preferred tournament sets by some of the world's best
players. However their best use is in high class chouettes.
They are 64x80 cm open. Checker diameter is 50mm.
These backgammon sets have the luxury feel and heavy duty performance typical for
Svilo boards. Best for shouettes.
The Jumbo checkers have 50mm diameter and 10mm height. The length of the Jumbo board provides ample space for rolling - at least 6 checkers fit on both sides. The Jumbo boards are 33 mm deep - enough to stack three thick checkers inside. It is necessary to provide a large surface for rolling and a high enough wall to prevent dice from rolling out of the board. A quality backgammon board needs these proportions.
The Jumbo and almost all Svilo backgammon boards include the famous oval leather, bottom bumper, lipped Svilo dice cups. For no additional charge it is possible to change the oval cups with Round Classic or Round Lady leather, bottom bumper lipped dice cups.
All prices include leather Svilo dice cups, a set of two pair 9/16" dice, a
doubling cube, free air mail shipping.
Jumbo backgammon boards have gold color combination locks. Please always keep your numbers in a safe place. The initial numbers are 000. An instruction how to handle them is included with each board.
Jumbo backgammon bords are hingeless. That means when the board is open, no metal part on the dividing bar is visible - the bar is flat. In closed position the bottom side has no visible metal part and the case stands upright without legs.

Personalization. Some parts may be interchanged free of charge. These are dice cups, size or color of dice. When a board is offered with standard dice, acquiring precision dice is not free. You might also ask change or addition of dice cups, dice or doubling cube that involve a surcharge. You can also order Protective bag or a Dice Pouch if not already included in the offer. This is personalisation
Customization. The change of other elements may require additional labor, materials. It involves risk and time. That is why in the very beginning of making of a custom order you are asked about a 10% surcharge over the normal prices at the Backgammon set gallery. This surcharge also serves as a non-refundable earnest money. In the process of fixing of your order we will reach the real price of the custom product that you order. Even if you do not reach an order or cancel your order before I send it, I will keep the 10% surcharge as a compensation,and I will return all the remaining money.

S40 Standard @ 192.00 EUR is the Standard (52x33 cm) tournament backgammon board with a 40 mm (1.50") checker diameter with heavy duty chrome locks.
Leather S40 Standard @ 300.00 EUR is the Leather Standard (52x33 cm) tournament backgammon board with a 40 mm (1.50") checker diameter with heavy duty chrome locks.
One can personalize a backgammon set by changing checker color, dice cups color, dice cup model, dice color or size, doubling cube size or color. Personalizing the backgammon set usually cost nothing if it is technically possible (sizes, availability, etc.). You just need to ask before you buy.
Custom made backgammon boards
A backgammon board can be custom made to the requirements of a customer. He can choose size of his board (4 sizes available), material and color of the exterior, material and color combination of the playing surface, type of handle, type, size and color of dice cups, type, size and color of dice.

If your personalization consists only in replacing or adding accessories - only the difference in price will be asked.
If you like to customize your board in a way that involves more labor, materials, time or risk, the final price will be agreed before we start work.
To guard against usual risks in making a custom backgammon board, sometimes an advance payment is required. When we make the board these 10% will usually be part of the surcharge over the normal price of the base model. My offer will be available
before I ask you the final price.
After a customized board is ready, I will send you a picture for approval. If you do not like the board, you can still cancel your order. I will then refund 90% and keep 10% of the agreed and paid total price as compensation.
If you receive a customized board and do not like it for any reason, you can return it within the first 7 days after receipt at your own cost. If the backgammon board and all accessories are as new I will make full refund of the money received minus 10% or make a replacement if you wish.
You pay these 10%, I also risk my time, materials and other men's time and effort.
